After struggling to get a win on Friday against Robert Morris, the Lakes put together a much better performance on Saturday in a 4-2 friendly win over Lake Superior State's club squad.

Lake Superior took a 1-0 lead in the 2nd minute, and held it through half time. The Crusaders were able to level things in the 53rd on a Kyle Wheatley penalty, and took the lead in the 68th when Jeremy Smith, normally the team's starting goalkeeper, slotted home a ball from Peter Stebbins to give him team a lead they would not relinquish.

Stebbins scored one himself in the 76th to increase the lead to 3-1, and St.Luc Picard finished off cross from Jeremy Klepal to give the team a 4-1 lead in the 82nd. Lake Superior pulled back a cosmetic goal before the final whistle to make the final score line 4-2.

Given the nature of a friendly, many of Great Lakes' reserves played significant minutes in this game and overall, put on an impressive performance.

Game Notes: No bookings were handed out in this game.

Up Next: The team now have all week to prepare for a conference clash with Moody Bible Institute on Saturday at 3:00 at Henderson Field.
