Great Lakes were again disappointed against Grace Bible College, falling short 3-2 on Friday.

Grace jumped right out of the gate, scoring two quick goals to put themselves firmly in front. Again, the story of the day was physical play, and the two teams battered each other up and down the pitch all throughout the first half. Finally, the first forty-five minutes ended, with the Crusaders down 2-0.

The second half saw Great Lakes begin to claw back, as Peter Stebbins finished off a penalty to cut the lead to 2-1 early the half. Unfortunately, Grace would put it right back. An own goal saw Grace's margin increase to 3-1. Kevin Downer scored one for the Lakes off of a Jeremy Klepal assist to make it close, but the team couldn't grab an equaliser and fell short by a final score line of 3-2.

Game Notes; Three of Great Lakes' starters; Izzy Sesay, Daniel Jehl, and St. Luc Picard, we're unavailable due to injury. Jeremy Klepal picked up a yellow, his fourth of the season.

Up Next: The Lakes will travel to Davenport University on Monday to take on conference foe Kuyper College.
