Once again the College will sponsor the Lugnuts Christian Family Night in  downtown Lansing on Sunday evening, August 18, 2013. The 2:05 p.m. Lansing Lugnuts game will be followed by a free Christian concert by Julian Drive. This will be the final concert of their week-long tour  raising money for charities all over the state of Michigan. GLCC has  sponsored this concert tour and the Lugnuts Christian Family Night for  the past three years.
Faculty and staff will be in attendance at the game. Join us for an afternoon of fun in the sun. Tickets for the baseball game range from $8-11 each or you are welcome to come in free after the 8th inning to attend to concert.&amp;#160;</description>

IMPORTANT GRADUATION&amp;#160;DATES

So you would like to&amp;#160;graduate, Have you done these things:

    Schedule your exit exams and interview with President Carter. Please contact Marie Riggs to do so
    Complete and turn in the exit survey to Marie Riggs
    Confirm completed Outreach Ministry hours with Judy Beavers
    Completed Computer Competency
    Paid all outstanding fees and accounts with the library and business office
    Contact your instructors to schedule your final exams&amp;#160;

Failure to complete any of these will result in your not participating in&amp;#160;graduation&amp;#160;ceremonies and not&amp;#160;receiving&amp;#160;your diploma until the requirements are met.
&amp;#160;

Graduation Robe Pick-Up:&amp;#160;April 29 – May 3
Stop by Brian’s office to pick up your robe.  Brian will be available during his normal office hours that week.&amp;#160;Please e-mail registrar@glcc.edu if you need to schedule a different time.

Honors Chapel: Tuesday, May 7
Be in the Doty Center green room wearing dress clothes, your graduation robes, and caps with tassels by 10:45 AM

Senior Banquet: Friday, May 17
Held in the Student Mall, Time: 7:00pm
Required: RSVP to Marie
&amp;#160;
Graduation Rehearsal: Friday, May 17
Be in the Doty Center by 11:00 AM
(Cap &amp;amp; Gown not required)&amp;#160;This is mandatory if you are participating in the ceremony.
&amp;#160;
Commencement: Saturday, May 18

    You may use the locker rooms (one for boys and one for girls) to store your possessions and to dress. Locker rooms will be locked during the ceremony.
    We will gather in the green room off the stage. If you are unsure where this is, look for the other people wearing funny gowns.
    Be completely dressed in your robes and caps and in the green room by 9:15 a.m. We will take a class picture on the stage of the Doty Center.
    Relevant honors sashes or cords will be distributed at this time

&amp;#160;
Information for your Commencement Guests

    Doors to the gymnasium will open at 9:30am. Seating begins at that time.
    Commencement begins at 10:00am in the Doty Center.
    You may invite as many guests as you would like. Seating is unlimited!
    If you have guests with special needs or concerns, please let me know as soon as possible so we can accommodate them.

PROMISE is a 13-day program designed as a strong musical and spiritual growing experience for high school students. The first week is on the campus of Great Lakes Christian College, and is structured as a music camp, with morning devotions, lots of rehearsals, fun activities, and small group sharing times; the second week we go on tour, traveling to different churches to share our program of music and drama. It all culminates with a home concert back at GLCC.
How do I audition for PROMISE?
Fill out an application form.
You must have completed your freshman year in high school.
Graduating seniors may also apply.
Make an audition CD and send it along with your picture and application to:

On the audition CD - 
1. Include your name and the part you sing.
2. Sing a contemporary Christian song or worship song of your choice that shows the best of what your voice can do.
3. Sing a C scale on “la” - going as high as you can. State what your highest and lowest notes are.
If you would also like to audition as an instrumentalist - 
1. On the same CD, include warm-up exercises that demonstrate your range and ability.
2. Play a song which demonstrates your ability.

$200 for applications 
received before February 1
$225 for applications 
received February 1- April 1
Paid at registration, includes all meals, housing and activity fees.</description>
