GLCC Computer Competency Test
The computer competency test covers the main topics addressed in the course CS 150 Introduction to computing. Students are required to complete basic computing tasks using four pieces of the Microsoft Office Suite. Students must correctly format documents in Word, create a brief Powerpoint presentation (including a master slide and certain other components), create an Excel spreadsheet (including formulas and graphs), and design a basic, three-page website with images and links using Frontpage.
The test is administered via the College's online learning system (Moodle). Students interested in taking the test should see the business office to pay for the test ($25 fee) and then should see the Director of Technology for further instructions. |
