FDsys provides free online access to official Federal Government publications which

include Congressional, Presidential and Federal agency materials. Through FDsys, you are able to search, browse and download documents and publications.

Gale Directory Library  (MeL Database)

Provides access to Ward’s Business Directory of Private and Public Companies in Canada and Mexico, and Business Rankings Annual. Ward’s profiles over 51,000 companies, (approximately 18,000 in Canada and 33,000 in Mexico) listing the industries in which it operates, names of top executives, number of employees, the type of company it is, and financial performance. The eDirectory version also includes alternative mailing addresses, an expanded list of executives, and historical financial information. Business Rankings Annual (BRA) provides “top ten” rankings of companies, products, services, and business-related activities compiled from a variety of published sources.

HeritageQuest Online (MeL Database)

Online includes all of the images and extensive indexing from the 1790 – 1930 U.S. federal censuses. It offers more than 22,000 digitized book titles, including early family histories and local histories. Additionally, there are more than 250 primary-source documents such as tax lists, city directories, probate records and more. It also includes Periodical Source Index (PERSI), Revolutionary War Pension and Bounty Land Warrant Application Files, the Freedman’s Bank Records, and the U.S. Serial Set Private Relief Actions, Memorials and Petitions.

Turfgrass Information File (TGIF) (MeL Database)

In the 1960s, the Michigan State University (MSU) Library began to collect printed turfgrass materials. In 1968, the personal collection of the late O.J. Noer, pioneer turf agronomist, was added to the library holdings through the O.J. Noer Foundation. Today, the combined collection is recognized as the most extensive public collection of turfgrass material in existence. Between 1983 and 1992, the United States Golf Association (USGA) Turfgrass Research Program supported the development of the USGA Turfgrass Information File (TGIF). Using the Noer Collection as a foundation, TGIF was designed to systematically inventory published turf research and make the bibliographic information available via a computerized database.

UNdata  (Free Database)

This database includes official statistics produced by countries and compiled by United Nations data system, as well as estimates and projections. The domains covered are agriculture, employment, education, energy, environment, health, human development, industry, information and communication technology, national accounts, population, refugees, trade and tourism. You can also find indicators such as Millennium Development Goals. The statistics available at UNdata are produced by United Nations Statistics and Population Divisions as well as other United Nations agencies. UNdata also gives access to National Statistical Offices through the related links when making keyword searches of country names. You may also see the list of sources by going to “Wiki”.
